Blogs VS Wiki

Blogs and wikis are both internet applications . A wiki is a collection of web pages written by many persons. A blog is more personal unless you share your login informations to someone else. .Also blogs can have links only to external sites whereas wikis may have links not only to external sites , but also within the web page.
Commenting on the importance of convergence in today's networked world
Convergence is the concept behind wikis. In the book how many minds produce knowledge,it shows that with the help of internet people can solve many problems by sharing views, knowledge. In the New york Times articles by Matt Richtel, online content appears in elevator,in the back of your taxi or plane seat.
How can blogs be used for collaboration?
Blogs can be used for collaboration by letting users post their opinion. This would allow an outside reader to get different opinions on a certain topic. Although this sounds like a wiki, the major difference is that your post cannot be altered by anyone and therefore your opinion is voiced
